Don Quijote en USA
Sinopsis

Dear [Principal’s Name],
I am writing to request approval to bring an educational theatre performance titled Don Quijote en USA to our school. This production is presented by Teatro for the Soul Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Orlando, Florida, committed to promoting learning through the arts.
Don Quijote en USA is a one-man show that reimagines Cervantes’ iconic character within a modern U.S. context. Performed entirely in Spanish, it provides an authentic cultural and linguistic experience that supports AP Spanish Literature, AP Spanish Language, and Dual Language program objectives.
The play aligns directly with the College Board’s six global themes and encourages students to apply their language skills in meaningful, real-world contexts. It has been performed across the United States and has received outstanding feedback from Spanish teachers for its academic relevance, humor, and accessibility for high school audiences.
This program represents a valuable investment in our curriculum: it enriches instruction, enhances cultural competency, and reinforces bilingual literacy goals. By integrating live theatre into the classroom experience, our students gain a deeper emotional and intellectual connection to the Spanish language and its cultural heritage.

Dear [Principal’s Name],
I would like to propose bringing an inspiring educational performance, Don Quijote en USA, to our school. The play is produced by Teatro for the Soul Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Orlando, Florida, that uses theatre as a bridge between language, culture, and education.
This powerful one-man show reimagines Cervantes’ Don Quijote in today’s America. It’s funny, thought-provoking, and deeply relevant to our bilingual and multicultural students. The play connects literature with real-life themes of identity, resilience, and community—exactly what our students need to see themselves in the stories they study.
Spanish teachers across the U.S. have praised this program for sparking enthusiasm and boosting engagement in AP and Dual Language classrooms. Students not only understand the text better—they feel it.
Hosting Don Quijote en USA is more than a performance; it’s an investment in student motivation, cultural pride, and program visibility. It positions our school as a leader in arts-based education and gives our students a living example of how language and culture empower them.
